Summer at the Oratory

Yesterday was our annual Summer at the Oratory at St. Francis de Sales.  I will admit to the world that not only did I not help one teeny bit, I was probably a hindrance, intruding on others with my camera.  Bwah -ha-ha.  The people who DID plan it did an outstanding job.  I was so very impressed!

I received this photo a few years ago from a friend who wanted to show us what her First Holy Communion looked like at our current church.  Juxtapose it with these photos.  Yowza.

My daughter's only question upon viewing this picture was, "Why is the priest facing that way?"

Six Flags

Six Flags offers free tickets for doing what we do best - reading books. Today I brought 3 of my kids there with Mrs. D and her kids to go on kiddie rides and to check out the latest tattoo fashions. We're hoping to get a family discount at the tattoo parlor up the street now.

When our day was over I took this sweet photo of the ferris wheel.

I have to be careful whom I tell things to because jokes like this appear in my in box:
