Humility, thy name is Mothercrab

Today we heard an excellent sermon by Canon Avis. It was about humility and I think he was speaking directly to me. I'm sure if you were to ask him he would say, "Yes." And, he might just say it with a Russian accent. But I digress.

Well, I just got an email from JJR to look at the scrolling images on catholic.org, and, wouldn't you know, one of my photographs popped up! It is the shot of the Gaudete Sunday vestments in the sacristy at St. Francis de Sales Oratory! I'm not sure how this photograph ended up on this particular website though...  Hmmm...

UPDATE.
I went through my archives and realized I had posted this photo last December. I may have to change my name to GrandmaCrab what with my forgetfulness. No offense to Grandmas.

I ask you to go look at that photograph to be reminded of the joy that this Sunday brings us.
Gaudete in Domino semper.

Hey!  Who let MotherCrab into the sacristy?

  1. What is interesting is that this website has been displaying explicitly "Latin Mass" photos for an increasing number of their articles - even when the article in question has nothing to do with rite itself.
    Congrats, Mother Crab!

    P.S.
With all this publicity, perhaps your hat size will increase to "petite large." :-)

  2. Why were the dalmatic and tunicle laid out when we didn't have solemn high Mass?

  3. Timman, that photo wasn't taken yesterday. They were laid out simply for the presentation. Shhhhhhh. The photo was (gasp) STAGED!

  5. I hope Catholic.org asked you for permission to use your photos. There are internet copyright laws that I'm SURE they know about. Hmmmmm, is right!

Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas MC! :-)
